ABOUT HAG
Drawing on ancient folk knowledge of plants and their magical uses, our handmade botanical infusions are batch-produced using responsibly foraged plant materials, as well as herbs and flowers specially grown on our allotments in Tottenham and Sydenham.
Our products are carefully prepared in sync with lunar and solar cycles. The process is slow and thoughtful, and each hag oil, balm and lotion bar is ritually mixed according to the magical correspondences relevant to the plants we are working with.
The Healer balm - which contains calming Yarrow, healing Lemon Balm and protecting Ribwort Plantain - draws on the influences of Venus and the Sun. The plants are solar infused in oil for 4 weeks, mixed and strained on a Friday, and the final ritual balm-making is done on a Sunday to harness the healing powers of the Sun.
SUSTAINABILITY
What we don’t grow or forage, we buy from ethical sources and trusted stockists. We do not use endangered products (such as cedar wood oil) or ecologically harmful products (such as palm oil). Our organic, unrefined shea butter is from a fair-trade women’s cooperative in Ghana that is dedicated to empowering local women.
Our products are all vegan.
